About Jordan eSIM coverage

Coverage & Networks

4G/LTE via Zain, Orange and Umniah — Solid in Amman, Aqaba and main tourist areas. Wadi Rum desert and Dana Biosphere Reserve have limited to no coverage.

How much data do I need?

1–2 GB should be sufficient for a week. Petra's visitor centre has Wi-Fi; Wadi Rum requires pre-downloaded maps and emergency contacts.

Tip for Jordan

Petra's Treasury is 1.2 km down the Siq — the most spectacular viewpoint is from above via the Monastery trail. Download the offline trail map before entering.

Most iPhones from XS onwards and many modern Android devices (Samsung Galaxy S21+, Google Pixel 3+, and others) support eSIM. You can check your specific model on our eSIM Compatibility page.

Yes. Most dual-SIM devices let you use your home SIM for calls and texts while using your Vyroam eSIM for data. This way you keep your number and avoid roaming charges at the same time.
